DESCRIPTION:A 3 hour session hosted by Ian Warby. This is for basic MTB skills for adults. Ian will teach you bike control\, body movements\, braking\, cornering etc. \nThis is designed for those who haven’t yet tried the West side of the bike park\, are less confident on a mountain bike\, would like to improve their skills\, competence and confidence. \nA Helmet and a suitable bike are a must. Gloves\, elbow and knee pads are recommended. SUMMARY:Battle At The Bike Park XC race
DESCRIPTION:What is Battle at the Bike Park? \nBattle at the Bike Park is a 3 hour XC mountain bike race that will take place at Northampton Bike Park.\nThis event is a collaboration between Outcast Racing\, Northampton Bike Park and the FNSS . \n\nThe Course\nThe course will utilise many of the bike park’s features including berms\, rollers and tabletops\, plus a woodland section featuring A and B line options. The park’s skills area will also be included in the course and is where the start/finish and pits are located. This ‘stadium section’ will also serve as a great viewing spot for spectators with prolonged views of the race. \n\nWhy Battle at the Bike Park?\nThe bike park is situated on the site of the original Battle of Northampton that took place in 1460. This historical skirmish was between the Lancastrians and the Yorkists and was part of the War of the Roses.
